MY PRACTICE AT A GLANCE

My approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, integrative and intentional, and I am dedicated to providing a non-judgmental, supportive, safe and empathetic environment for you as you embark on your healing journey. As a humanistic and person-centered therapist, I believe that you are the expert on yourself and that I am here to walk with you and hold space for you as you navigate this path. From addressing everyday stressors to helping manage the difficult – and sometimes debilitating – symptoms of high-acuity mental health disorders, I work to create a therapeutic relationship that can promote healing and functionality.

While flexible, eclectic and multifaceted, my therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma-informed and mindfulness-based perspective. Because of the populations with which I tend to work, I also view therapy from both a neurobiological and a systems lens. It is important to me to consider a wholistic view of you as my client and to work to gain an understanding of how biological, socio-cultural and other external and systemic factors might have influenced your mental health and wellbeing. I utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, including, but not limited to, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), attachment theories, and mindfulness and somatic techniques. Above all, I work to create a safe space in which you feel truly seen and heard.

My practice is inclusive, multicultural, feminist and LGBTQIAAP+ affirming, and I work with adults, couples, families, and teenagers from diverse backgrounds.

I hope that together we can find ways for you to work through and heal from some of what life has thrown at you. My goal is to help you live the life you want to live and to feel fulfilled and hopeful. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
